Currently own a stunning 92 Sunseeker Portofino 31 running AD41p's, its awesome boat and although not big inside we do stay on it for a week or 2 occasionally.

As we are now getting a little older we want something that has a forward cabin rather than sleeping in the large but a little hard to get into aft cabin on the 31

Currently looking at 90's portofino 375s, San Remo 35s etc. But its hard to find much info on these boats. Any advice on what to avoid and what engines we should be looking for.

Heres a snap of the 31

Fairline Targa 34
Sealine S34
Princess V39/40

I would say the same three, with the caveat that the Princess would be my first choice. Go take a look at some examples, plus the Cranchi and any others that get suggested. That's half the fun of choosing a new boat. The right one for you will jump out at you almost as soon as you step on board.

Always want to spend less but ideally sub 100k

Any of those sunseekers will be significantly less than £100k
Cranchi 34 is a good shout but offset double.

V39 or earlier Targa 38/39 worth a look for centre line easy accesss bed. Also Targa 37 for a more modern look.
Beneteau Monte Carlo 37 would fall into budget but only just.
If the sunseeker is a boat you like might I also suggest the Martinique 39

Such a shame when people let their boats go!!! :):):)

Would you consider moving away from sports cruiser style?

Lots of options in the sub £100k range

Got to be a sports cruiser, do not like flybridge's and want to be able to get places at more than 10knots without using stacks of fuel.

Ha yes and a few sausages.

My first big boat was a Portofino 31. Many happy memories! Previous owner modified the stern to take his wheelchair.
It went to a buyer in Wales.

Yamaha ME420 STIs vs Volvo KAD's. Not really heard of the Yamaha and with the KADs I have been told to stay away from early 42s other than that just need regular maintain like any engine

Thanks for all the advice, I am going to try to check out some boats and enjoy the search,

Not a fan of Sealine, never have been.
