Hello everyone,

Hoping to get an ID of what type of yacht this is. It was moored off castle cove sailing bay in Weymouth over the weekend.

Cheers

Possibly a clue in the name - which looks to be Goodness Knows ?

There is an informal tradition of the old Westerly GK series boats having names of two words with G and K in them - they tended to be more sporty / racing oriented with largely flush decks. Which fits here also.

Not an expert, so you Would need to google some piccies to determine which version - think ranged from GK24 to GK 32, but that is just a guess from memory

Whatever it is, someone needs to repaint that cove line so there isn't a hill in the middle :D

The pic won't expand for me, but I must say she looks more Etap; however if she's called Goodness Knows she's a GK29, as mentioned they have a tradition of names beginning with G & K, after the race winning prototype ' Giant Killer '.

I remember names like ' Get Kracking ' & ' Get Knotted ' - a chum wanted to buy one just so he could call it ' Ginger K**t ' :)

I don't think Etaps of that size had transom mounted rudders.

They weren't so flush decked either, but the pic doesn't look quite right for a GK to me, as I say I can't get it to expand; as she has a GK name she must be...

All the Gk range look a bit different one way or another.

This one looks spot on for a GK 29 to me

The red cabin top paint makes it look like it has a short beige dog house style cabin, hence people thinking Etap.
