So I've ordered my pump, Calorifier and transom shower. What size hose is normally used to connect everything up? Most common sizes appear to be 13mm and 16mm.
Mine is all 13 mm, red or blue for hot or cold. But if you don't know what fittings come with your equipment it makes sense to wait until you do. Most caravan shops stock it so easy to buy, or chandleries if you must.
… JG also has a similar and more or less compatible system.
That's interesting. My boat is also plumbed in red and blue with Push Fit fittings which look identical to the fittings I've used with 15mm domestic household plumbing. I'd therefore assumed that my boat hoses were also 15mm but I've never measured them because I've never needed to work on them.
That's something that I'll need to check before I order any parts.

Don't forget that household plumbing pipe, copper or plastic, is 15mm outside diameter. The common flexible hose used on most boat freshwater plumbing is 13mm ( was half inch) inside diameter.

Thanks all. If 13mm will work, I'll go for that as it'll be easier to run fore and aft.
The calorifier is second hand and appears fitted with Hepworth pushfit attachments, a mix of both 15mm and 22mm OD. There are short standing ends of both 15mm and 22mm OD pipes coming out of the calorifier. Is there such a thing as a compression to hosetail adapter?
