what size of boat you can handle yourself with your wife ?

It does not seem so long ago the professional skippers single handed were taking charge of 75 Predators and the like. It was perfectly 'doable'. It was very often part of the job fortunately good sense and mandatory requirements have put paid to these activities. Fly bridge craft in excess of 62 were almost never considered. With two competent persons and a good well executed plan when in close quarters it is perfectly reasonable to consider. You'll almost certainly get a feel for more time to react to situations as the considerably heavier craft reacts that little slower to adverse conditions ( and you should know within those few tight minutes exactly where the wind and tide if any is coming from) . With considerably more power and hopefully high horsepower thrusters along with a calm attitude you'll be amazed what is possible in a craft of this size.

I really can`t see that our flybridge Aquastar 74 (22 ish M) is any harder to handle than our previous 15.8M (admittedly heavy) boat.
Wife on helm when mooring- me running about- in touch with Sena hands free headsets (bit less shouting and swearing at each other/ stress) works well and bigger boat sooo much more comfortable.
Have Mathers/ ZF remotes for engines/ thrusters sorry to say not made the effort to get to grips with but pretty sure will like `em. Reversing camera with good view to side and beyond bathing platform a must I would say. Yeah up to 24M ok for 2 I think.
