what size is this engine

hi we have just brought a bayliner 2556 with a 220 hp factory fitted mercruiser engine (diesel ) what cc is it ,and at river speed of 6 knots how much fuel will it use per hour ?

It could well be a six-cylinder 4.2L engine.

There should be an ID late somewere on it which will have that info on it.

Sounds like the the 4.2litre, shouldn't use more than 1gph at river speeds.
