Turnbuckles
Morning John,
I have been using Peterson turnbuckles and swageless terminals for some years now.
They are manufactured in Britiain. Their marine open bodied turnbuckles are bronze.
The swageless terminals are very easy to assemble.
I have been out in fairly severe weather in the North Sea over the last few years without any problems from them.
For my own boat I purchased them directly from Peterson about 5 years ago and got them at a good price, But that was for 10 8mm turnbuckles and two backstay insulators.
As I now require smaller quantities when working on other boats I get them from S3i and find them to be very quick and obliging.
Another advantage of using them is that they will supply the turnbuckles with your choice of end fittings including swageless terminals and swivels as required.
The swageless terminals are also reusable they only require a little locktite on the threads and the cones are assembled dry.
Cheers
Iain
