Hi,

Has anyone had to buy a new mast for a 30 footer recently? I'd be interested to know roughly what the various bits cost. Mast, Boom, etc...

Regards

Fred

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.

Come back to you on that one. I require a 48 ft mast for a 33ft yacht. Delivery charges alone quoted at £700 for a second load

Just ordering one from Z-Spars for my 30-footer. Mast approx £1,500, boom approx £200, rigging approx £500, headsail furling approx £500. All are approx prices as these were last year's prices and depends on your spec etc.

Cheers, Duncan

Again can vouch for Z Spars.

Remasted my fathers boat 6 years ago - changing from wood to alloy and they were exremely helpful in deciding cross-sectionof mast boom etc. - delivery to west coast of scotland seemed reasonable
Mast came complete wih running rigging fitted and standing rigging to approximate size and all norseman terminals to complete ourselves.

15.5m tapered mast, caps, inters and lowers, 2 sets spreaders.

Stiffened 135 x 92mm section £2420 - Z-Spars UK

145 x 100 mm 4220 euro - Francespar

165 x 105 mm 1972 euro - Z-Spars France.

All prices ex-works, ex VAT.

Delivery is the killer on all mast quotes - better to take the boat to the supplier.

Contact Franck Jenin 00 33 546 44 02 27, tho' he probably has to give David White first bite at any UK business
