What plans for Easter Weekend..?

So, 4 days mini break imminent for most, I am going (regardless of weather) to Yarmouth, will be drinking beer and playing cards in the Kings Head for a large proportion of the weekend if the weather is as crap as it looks, but still looking forward to it.

So what the heck is everyone else doing.. (boat wise only, I don't want to hear of mundane shopping trips).

I will add a picture... just to get people in the mood...

We had family holiday in that very house 20 years ago internal walls were plastic sheets and cooker blew up but sunshine everyday it was a glorious holiday.I remember jumping out of bed at five o clock when the maroons went up to watch the lifeboat go out

Too cold so skiing..! :)

Despite the weather here and manically busy, we've almost managed one good trip a month since launching in December. January was the exception due mainly to weather. We did a run around to the Dart in February, did one night aboard in early March and managed Teignmouth and Brixham on Sunday. They've all been great days and looking to get out this Sunday too as I think there's a small gap in the rain! ;) We're targeting at least one decent trip every month, more when we can - with Weymouth and Falmouth on our summer bucket list... Grab the days when you can I think as the weather seems all too often to scupper those carefully planned trips. :D

First challenge is to get the boat actually in the water.
See previous "Egg Whisks" thread for current location.
Current plan is for tomorrow morning, but who knows ...

Tee-hee, you guys should try annual servicing Med-style. They really want boats in and out of the yard as quickly as possible - so last week it was lift out Monday morning, leg service Monday afternoon/Tuesday morning, antifoul Tuesday afternoon, back in the water Wednesday morning. At the same time as all that was going on the hull was polished. Back on berth Wednesday afternoon and topsides/superstructure polish started, engine and generator service Thursday, sea trial Friday morning. Done! :encouragement:

As it will be the first outing of the year for a lot of boats in our area we have decided it is for the best to leave Naughty-Cal in her mooring for the duration and are heading to Amsterdam for a long weekend until the butterfly boaters have retreated and business as usual is resumed.

We're having our shakedown cruise down the Trent in company with 2 or 3 other boats, the original plan was to get to York but not sure that'll happen now, so will probably head up the inland network from Keadby and see where we get to. As always, it's not about the destination...

A nice leisurely trip to break us into the season, with good friends and good drink. Really looking forward to the break.

Quarterly beer and curry night with some old work mates tonight and a trip to the south coast for second viewing of a prospective boat tomorrow. Not sure I got the planning right for those two things but SWMBO will be driving in the morning so as long as I can get up and into the car I will have four hours or so to make a full recovery :)

This is us, right now....we might stay out for a few days depending on the weather. Flights to Faro are cheap if anyone fancies a day on the water :)

I do like those bow seats. in fact, the more I see of the Lagoon Cats the more I like them. I think I'll have to stop looking... :encouragement:

Yup, they are the most popular seats on the boat, the AP remote is being well used... :)

This is how our evening turned out, I might send it to Lagoon for a brochure shot....
