What on earth was happening at Foxs today?

It wasn't clanking it was frapping.

Eh? I thought frapping was the action you take to prevent clanking, rattling, tapping etc. of the sort that eventually compels you to arise from a warm bunk at 3 a.m. and venture forth in the rain to, well, to frap the thing....... :)

Frapping is the verb for making an iced coffee, as in "Michael is frapping in the kitchen, he loves a nice frapachino". The sound of halyards on a mast shouldn't be silenced.

i was listening to a different RHYC Wallet Bashing, not all were happy bunnies, pass the bucket pdq :D.

why were they going up the Wallet on a mid day tide ????. Sheer Madness

I think they were heading to Bradwell as part of a club cruise, we have been to Bradwell once this year, and once is enough. :D

Ah, so when the halyards get you up in the rain at 3 a.m., they are only innocently making iced coffee? Gosh! They are more versatile than I thought. Or are they just inviting me to their iced coffee party? Do they drink it as well? I've never been offered iced coffee by a halyard at 3 a.m. in the rain. On the whole, I prefer it hot at that time of the morning. Do they do hot as well?

Partying with convivial halyards at 3 a.m in the rain.....No that's LIVING! :D

last w/e or the one coming is the best , IE neap tides as you no doubt know. i had a brilliant sail to The Pyefleet & back , last w/e

In fairness to the organiser, the trip should have been to Woodbridge, but the Tidemill cancelled the booking as they are having major work done which apparently involves closing half the marina, so unable to accomodate club rally. It was then decided to go to Bradwell, possibly the only alternative that could accomodate at short notice, we decided not to go that far for just an overnight.

A trip to Bradwell next Saturday could coincide with the Maldon Regatta & old gaffers/smacks race from West Mersea (if a similar programme as in previous years), often a wonderful sight.
