We seem to have some interest in our beloved 'Odyssea'.

The couple who are keen managed to pass the 10 hour interview !

We have looked at a Sealine 450 Statesman that would suit us very nicely, in spite of me vowing never to own another Sealine after the dreadful 305 Statesman that we had.

Are we mad?

The one thing that really really irritated me about Sealines was the piece of string used to adjust the helm seat and I see at SIBS that they're still using the same system now. Apart from that the 450 and its little sister 410 are excellent boats. The hulls are a Bennett design which makes them solid sea boats. The integration of the aft cabin and aft cockpit is a great piece of design although IMHO it works better on the 450 as the aft cabin on the 410 is v. tight unless you're a midget. I particularly like the transom door in the 450. The later models should have storage for the cockpit canopy and table in the flybridge overhang which is another good idea. I guess the interior of the earlier models with that grey coloured woodwork is looking a bit dated now but, otherwise, they're not that different from the later T46 models
My impression is that the 450 is a bit more difficult to sell on than the 410 so dont pay too much and good ones should be loaded - genny, bowthruster, maybe even aircon
