what might my dingy be?

me and my bloke have just bought a neglected plywood+mahogany dingy, similar to enterprise or wayfarer but bout 15ft6" long and 5ft6" wide, mast of about 26ft alloy. It was said to be a C Fly and on the sail is a logo of a letter C with a "wing" on the top left corner pointing out at 11 oclock. The boat has this same logo painted on it.
It has racing rigging and has good sail area
Have looked all over the net and no mention of a C-fly
Anybody seen that logo or have any ideas please
 
I think that the C Fly was a bigger version of a dinghy called the MayFly, quite popular in the 1960's The sail logo sounds similiar.
They had a characteristic shape in that the chine swept up markedly at the bow to meet the deck.
Can't remember who the designer was, sorry.

Try looking for 'Seafly', you should be able to find some more info if you spell it that way. The dinghy was designed by J M Kelley in about 1961, then developed further by Stan Herbert. They are a nice boat to sail, being lighter than a Wayfarer, and much more responsive, I had one when I used to sail at Bowmoor S C a few years ago

The sail mark fits the seafly. The boat world book of dinghies 1973 lists it with an old money py rating of 93, compare with the phantom at 92 and the albacore at 94. In addition to the data on the seafly link it listed the builder as South Devon Boatbuilders, Iddesleigh Terrace, Dawlish. They also made the Devon Dory, Mayfly & Seafire. price between £250 & £350 for basic boat including sails. They were made in both GRP & marine ply. It had an unusual deep vee form with the chine swept up to the stemhead. This form was developed from the mayfly...etc.
Back in '73 there was a class association. After 22 years I suspect the secretary has changed!

Thanks everybody, yup it is a Seafly, finding it now thanks. We paid £225 with 2sets etc etc, its a bit ratty but we cant wait to get to tidy for this season, my bloke is an ex wayfarer but the rigging is a bit different, i wonder if anyone knows where we can find ino on rigging
