What leisure battery charger?

Much depends on the time you have available to charge the batteries. If you are normally on a swing mooring and want to be able to visit a jetty with power available for a limited period of time then you want a high current charger.
Typically you might have 2x 100Amp hour batteries which might be 50% charged so you need to put in around 60 amp hours. times 2.
This can mean that a charger rated at say 6 amps might take 30 hrs to recharge both the batteries. 6 amps is maximum and you might average 4 amps into the batteries over the period. A charger of double the capacity might do the job in half the time.
You should charge both batteries in parallel if you want fastest charge.
On the other hand if you take the batteries home for a charge or can leave the boat in a marina full time then a small charger over a long period will do the job. good luck olewill
