My Jabsco compact heads has started to spurt a bit of water from around the pump shaft when pumping. I obviously need to replace a seal of some sort- would some kind soul be able to point me to the right service kit or part to save me trawling through pages and pages of Jabsco stuff online?
Cheers

Would it be too simplistic to suggest a repair kit plus additional joker valve would cover this and replace any parts used for next strip

You should be able to identify your needs fairly easily by going to the Jabsco shop website
This link should take you to the relevant page for your toilet
Jabsco 29090-5000 - Manual 'Twist n' Lock' toilet, compact bowl / Manual Toilets / Toilets / Marine Toilets / Marine / Xylem JabscoShop - Jabsco & Rule Pumps and more - from the experts

Click the little arrow in the bottom RH corner of the parts diagram and it will enlarge. The seal assembly #18 may be what you need.

You don't mention whether you have the modern "Twist'n'lock" pump or the older model, but my recommendation is that you get the Service Kit for the relevant pump and use whatever components will repair the current problem, then order whatever parts you have used, so that you always have a complete service kit in stock.
You can improve on this strategy by acquiring, from a boat jumble or the marina skip, a discarded pump and refurbishing it. If you have a complete refurbished pump on board you can very quickly swap it over, wrapping up the problem one in a plastic bag, to be dealt with in port. It doesn't matter whether or not the spare pump is the exact same model as the existing one, as they will all fit.
