One way to buy a boat is to visit yacht clubs and boatyards and talk to people. Quite a few boats aren’t listed for sale, but if you ask around, you’ll find that the owners wouldn’t mind parting with them. That way you will see boats in far far better condition than the one you’ve escaped today.

Hell, ask me if mine is for sale!

Wise words - it's worth checking the local yacht club websites - they quite often have a "for sale" page
