The interesting part there is that TDS SIS-440 does not need a primer ! thats good as the sika primer is crazy expensive... I wonder if it still needs a non stick base between the planks?

Holy snot... at £23.88 i would expect it to self apply at that price... That is the most expensive tube of sealant ive ever seen ?

Wasn't anywhere near that price when I used it - more or less the same as the competition. I bought it direct from TDS's UK branch (no longer around?).

For what it's worth, it's very elastic and sticks to acetoned teak (eg) like the proverbial. I don't envisage any problems with expansion/contraction although Teak Decking Systems still advocate the traditional tape system.

It sands extremely well once cured.

They sell the tape to put at the base of a joint just for this product and sika so i guess its still needed. would make sense as no sealant works well when forced to adhere to 3 planes.

Why are bike shorts traditionally black? Because in the days of leather saddles, commonly dyed black there was no other color that made sense at all. Also chain grease.
