What is this boat part called?

Right, so, I've just found this:

So, nothing overly special as I thought with the winch connector (I must be thinking about another boat I was on).

Does anyone have any idea as to the name of that deck hatch? I'll get googling in the meantime. What I am curious about though is why there are no screw holes for the bit the led screws into. Perhaps it was bonded (or at least, meant to be). I suppose I'll learn that when I find out what this cover looks like when the lid's off!

I may be stating the obvious, and I'm not sure of the Bav design, but if there is rain forecast I'd advise making a temporary cover. If it's anything like my Jeanneau once the cover is removed, it allows access direct to the bilge.

I can confirm that on the bav its not an issue if its left off - what I assume was over exuberant use of the pressure washer by the young yard hand meant we arrived at the boat and found it missing - its was discovered 20 ft aft of the boat. It had been off for weeks in the best of Scottish winter but there was no water ingress.

I think (but am 120 miles from boat) that the screws are covered by the "lid" when the lid is in place. That particular Bav is newed than yours I think (gas locker door got fancier?).

It's more no screws on my boat. There's no lid or fitting to screw a lid in to (which would, in fairness, explain why if there was one there, it isn't now!)

@lustyd, yep, got it. Back at the boat this weekend so will have a look

If you look at the SVB offering it has 6 screw holes round edges so I guess these with mastic underneath hold it in position. The top then screws into position -hand tight and no need for winch handle etc -they look no different to an inspection hatch found on a dinghy -you just need correct size from force 4 - it looks like a 4 inch hatch (in imperial speak) on SVB so maybe order one of these to try out and return if not correct -what’s puzzling is how the mounting ring if secured with 6 screws has parted company with the floor panel in which it is mounted.
