What is the most expensive thing you have dropped overboard?

I ask as I can start the bidding with an iPhone 3GS - fell out of my pocket when leaving the boat. I would have liked to salvage the SIM but I couldn't find a shop that sells magnets

Not lost by me but found whilst diving off Gozo. A nice padded bag containing a Tag diving watch, dive computer, torch and 3 rings wedding engagement etc.

No Id anywhere and had been there for a while judging by the state of the bag.

Also found many anchors, especially around wrecks, not to mention fishing rods (4) and a canoe off Torquay.

Yes that's right. We were staying in Malta but on this occasion we were diving off Gozo. I'm still on medication even now, after suffering this loss.

You didn't lose a canoe as well did you? Some people are so clumsy

One of the best was an anchor that nearly landed on us off Portland Harbour, followed by some chain and rode. We were expecting the boat to follow it! We tied a lifting bag to the end, send it up and retrieved it at the end of the dive. The boat that dropped it had cleared off in the meantime. Doh.

Not expensive in the monetary sense but priceless in the opinion of my six year old daughter...her favourite Dora the explorer laptop.Oh the pain ,dont know which of us felt more,as it headed for the bottom.
