Forget all the fancy ideas had this demonstrated in a marina.
Buy a flat Mat type fender, hang over bows at pontoon height. Gently motor in until bow fender is pressing against walkway, leave in tickover forward gear but put helm hard over to keep boat pressed hard against finger pontoon. Sedately step ashore and secure mooring ropes!!
Cant see why it would not also work as well going in astern providing the fender mat can be positioned between stern and pontoon.
