What is my RIB worth

Blimey!! i thought this forum was a friendly one... lol
To me it looks a nice bit of kit, and if you were advertising it< then good luck, but obviously your not ...

i will be looking for one but im based in the uk unfortunately ...

Got the option to upgrade the rib on Seralia.

Current boat is a fairly recent (1-2 year old) Zodiac around 3m with a 9.9Hp motor and remote fuel tank etc.

Best pic I have

lovely boat by the way, hope you have a great trip back to SCm, hopefully i will be down next summer :encouragement:

I have zero idea about this sort of thing but can someone advise what sort of money it might be worth.

I would think about £1300 jez, on a bit of a gut feel

The upgrade opportunity is obvious from another thread (is going to be white/grey not red I think). Good going!

FWIW I've been trying to sell my previous 3yr old Arimar 320 RIB w/o engine in Sardinia through the yard which does maintenance on my boat and I haven't had a sniff at €1500 or indeed any price. It might be worth trying to get your RIB back to the UK and Ebaying it if it doesn't sell in SCM or take whatever p/x you can get against a new one

+1 for eBay.
Just sold an older Avon 310 with a crack in the hull (RIB only....no outboard and I was up front about the damage). Thought it might make a good project/runabout for someone if I was lucky but it turned out I could have sold it several times over. Circa 1800+ views, 118 watchers and it went for more than I expected. Buyer collects tomorrow and in the unlikely event that it doesn't work out another bidder is waiting in the wings as he missed the end of the auction. Might be a hassle getting it back to the UK but it appears there is a market here :)

Thanks for that. I will check how much it would cost to bring my Arimar RIB back to the UK although not being as well known a brand as Avon, it might not sell well here

Why not list it on Italian e-bay, or Sardinian if they have a separate one? I'm guessing MapisM would probably help you post the advert

Aside from confirming to Deleted User that translating any text he wishes to send me wouldn't be a problem at all, I must say that your suggestion of a Sardinian ebay did make me laugh.
The island is in fact different from mainland Italy in more ways than one, and much bigger than the IoW for instance, but to my IT ears that sounds just the same as I suppose it would sound to you the idea of an IoW-specific ebay... :D

Do you think its worth advertising my Arimar RIB on Italian Ebay given the fact that its located in the SW corner of Sardinia so not exactly well located for any buyer to pick up?

Sorry M, but I have no clue about the interest it might fetch, regardless of the location.
Otoh, I suppose that the location is somewhat relevant, in the sense that it's hardly worth for anyone to cross by ferry just to come to pick it up from mainland Italy.
But as long as someone is interested within Sardinia, I don't think it would be a deal breaker.
I mean, even from the more distant spots in the north, it's just a few hours drive.
Don't think at the road we made last year: that's mostly meant as a scenic drive, but there's also a motorway route, which is actually a bit longer but much faster.

I think I'll give Andrea one more chance this winter to sell it but after that I'll probably DHL it back to the UK

Mike,
before DHLing it back up north, I may be interested if shipping east is not silly money. i'm looking for a 3-3.3m rib, but cannot seem to find anything atm. The other problem is that I need docs to register it and I doubt you have any as it came with the boat, correct?

cheers

V.
