Thanks for resurrecting this thread. I had missed it the first time round.
I invested in a second Standard Horizon 390i a few years ago. I learnt that C-Map were dropping their memory card, so got my cards updated with the last available update. But they will slowly go out of date now.
Some time in the future when things start to fail, I guess the whole lot will have to be replaced. (Radar, AIS, Compass, CP, radio).
What choices are likely to be available?

Still plenty of choice and modern chart plotters are much better. If, for instance, you had to change the plotter, there would be no immediate need to change anything else, unless you are using the Sitex radar with the plotter.

Yes, it's a Sitex radar, the one recommended for the SH CP.
