What is going on with the Sealine T60 Aura range?

Thanks for report Hugo. It looks great - massive improvement. I happen to love the matt light oak look. It's right on the ball - a tour of the Cannes show confirmed it has become de rigeur on lots of the italian etc boats from 2008 onwards. For non oak fans it wont be as appealing of course.

The black background around the window looks good in the pic. And the white ceiling. And they've sorted some detials, like oak ceiling rails instead of the horrid painted metal tube rails with screws showing (like a bus).

Any pictures/reports on bathrooms and bedrooms? Bathrooms on the original T60 could do with some work so I hope they have had the conran treatment too.

Conran design continues below decks. Biggest layout change is to the owner's cabin. Basin is now in the cabin with just a small handbasin, wlak-in shower and loo in the bathroom. Sounds odd but looks good as it makes for a larger, more symmetrical owner's cabin. Lots of oak cabinetry down both sides (colossal amounts of drawer storage), small white sofa and one contrasting red fabric bulkhead with japanese maple leaf motif! Again it looks better than it sounds. Other two cabins tidied up (washing machine now in 3rd cabin) and nicely detailed.

Thanks. Sounds nice. Will try to see tomorrow. Are the tecma loos now the full size ones (like in a house) or have they retained the absurd tiny ones that make you think you're peeing into a pint glass - completely inappropriate on a 60er?

I can't remember where the washing machine was before, but putting it in a guest cabin rahter than utility room is a big mistake imho. For starters, it becomes a 2 cabin boat for charter work, doh, cos the w/mc is running lots on charter (table cloths, napkins, beds, bathroom towels, swim towels - you get the idea!). Pity Sealine, often hailed as the cleverest of space users, had to stick it in a guest cabin when they had 60feet to go at.

Is the conran makeover mostly fabrics and finish or has the boat been much redesigned in other respects?

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean by the small tecma loo's as on my T60 they are superb (all 3 of them), and some of my mates are big geasers.

The Tecma "Silence" loos (great product, used in lots of boats ranging from Mangusta to sunseeker to Sealine to zillion of others) comes in 2 sizes. The small one has a round bowl and is made compact to fit in very small bathrooms, crew cabins, etc. The larger one has an elliptical bowl and is roughly the same size as a normal house loo, and is fitted in the owner/guest cabins typically. When Sealine launched the T60, despite it being a 60footer, it had the small Tecma loo in the owners cabin. Picture here - that's definitely the round bowl small Tecma (I've owned, fitted, repaired, bought, pee-ed in many of them in my time /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif) [edit - the pics of the one in Butlers wharf show the small loo as well]

Thanks for the pics link. i think they've done a great job on the saloon. The oak + black walls + white ceiling looks great imho. I think the red wall in the master cabin is too much cheese but no doubt you could spec something different. And of course finally reading the instructions on how to attach the radar arch has much improved the outside. Great job. I might run over for a look if I get time today. Anyone know the price of it?

Basic price for T60 Aura is £812,000 ex taxes plus another £15k for the premium package which includes the natural oak finish, white leather and lots of extra Conran bits and pieces.

Thnaks. That's quite competitive. Depends a bit on what extras are needed (airco, nav gear, might be excl?) but still seems competitive. It's a huge improvement inside and out I reckon. I have a few reservatiosn like washing machine in guest cabin and (I might be misremebering) possibly not great crew accommodation. But if those things are ok they should sell a decent number I think (and hope).

Volvo D12 800s i presume?

Charging £15k extra for conraning it doesn't seem great marketing imho. Better to include that in the price. Folks aren't going to want it unconranned, when they see the conran. Small point tho in the grand scheme of things
