Among the various isolation switches on the boat is one marked battery boost. What is that likely to do? Forgot to ask the previous owner. Would appreciate any ideas...
It could be a number of things: perhaps a switch paralleling the starter and domestic battery, perhaps a switch controlling a "smart" regulator. But these and other suggestions are only guesses. I would recommend tracing the wires connected to it and finding out properly.
On my boat battery boost was paralleling a starter battery to service bat . I do not recommend this for obvious reasons and changed to separate starter battery .
