Well I got what I went up for, Brig 300l tender. Had a choice of a 20hp suzuki or 20hp Yamaha, went for the yammy which I assume was the right choice...if I got that wrong could someone let me know before the dealer PDI's it.

Tender looks robust and great value...nearly fell for a Williams 285 but yet again got ignored by the show folk manning the stand. The Brig dealer, (wolf rock) , went out of their way to assist and we are looking forward to getting the boat in a couple of weeks.

It's going to be a close call as to whether it actually fits in our garage...will make a funny, (if rather expensive), YouTube fail if not!

I'm going to put our outgoing 290 Seago and Torqeedo onto fleabay so if anyone has a good home for them let me know before it's too late....

Nice toy Nigel and I'm sorry we didn't meet up.

I can't comment on Suzuki v Yamaha but maybe this will bump you back up for informed opinion.

What happened at the Williams stand to lose your purchase ?

As you know we visited most dealers in the 40ft - 45ft bracket and all bar one were very professional and interested in the business. I can't add to "what I bought at SIBS 2014" just yet but hopefully we can announce Cozzy III sometime soon :)

Both good motors but I would have chosen the Yamaha as had a few yams before and allways been reliable.

A long way to go yet, and it may sadly prove be a step too far for me at the moment... but wife and I fell completely in love with the new Princess 68. We are looking to upgrade to a bigger boat next year and this ticked nearly every box for us... except price :sorrow: We will see how the negotiations progress!

Thanks for the bump Cozzy...think there was just a bit of show fatigue on the Williams stand....

Looking forward to youR announcement, theres not been much excitement re large purchases at SIBS so it will be great to hear about Cozzy III :)

Agree. We think Princess stole the show and in particular we like the P56 and P43.

It will take a few weeks yet. So far my wife and I are discussing the merits of a couple of models and whether to buy new or used etc.

SIBS was ideal for us as all the dealers were in the one place and a couple shine head and shoulders above the rest. We are pretty sure we know what we want and all I can say just now is that negotiations have commenced.

The plan is not to rush and we hope to complete the purchase before Christmas ;)

Ah, I heard through the grapevine that a 550 owner was looking long and hard at the 68...it is a lovely boat to be sure....I will keep an eye out for your 550 when it comes into the PMY brokerage....Ann would love a larger wardrobe! :)

Have to agree that princess stole the show from the point of view of both quality through the range and accessability to the public...if a little lacking in innovation...
