Interesting. Could you ask them about flash steam generators with no steam vessel more than 1" in diameter? I'd be interested to know what inspection regime they use.

Nothing to stop you asking them yourself. It is an open forum & there are quite a few hobbyists involved in flash steam hydroplanes etc. One such chap has got his up to circa 130MPH i believe

Coo-er. This whole conversation has prompted me to get in touch with my pal with the steam landrovers, at least one of which is flash steam. The other is a turf burner, so I think probably has something more conventional under the bonnet.
