What engine and drive would this need?

Not a lot to go on, but IMHO a Mercruiser 5.0l V8 and Alpha 1 drive, or Volvo 5.0l with SX drive.
Its possible it might be the 4.3 V6, but it wouldnt be the quickest boat with less than 200hp.

Standard 4.3 Lx mercruiser with alpha 1 outdrive I would think.
Picton's were built like the proverbial BSH ! , we had an outboard version, 16'6 with a mariner 200hp bolted on, still going strong today I believe (20+yrs old now), though it was only rated at max 150hp it proved to be an excellent combination.

I didnt think that that boat was too dear on ebay. If I'd seen it earlier (rather than within the last 25mins of auction!) Then I think it'd be on its way back here by now!

buy my sunseeker S20
use it this year,
sell the AQ130 for spares (or an anchor)
poke a feck off big v8 in it and scare your wallet next summer.
ps, i'm biased 'cos i hate the thing!
