SBC ..... Small Boat Champ
Having had various ID's over the years .... I decided on that one based on boats were getting bigger etc. even for starter boats. Small boats like my old tub etc. were IMHO being left out of the equation. There are many such boats with forum people here and also non-forumites.
Later after chat with Keith - I suggested a Crewing Forum - to organise the crewing posts better - as they usually got lost amongst the other forum stuff. It also was agreed to ally the Yahoo Group for Crewing - as the forum listings would date and drop of the page etc. The Yahoo group would be able to retain crew and owner details. It has worked well and the SBC part of the title was purely Keiths addition to the forum title - not my idea !
Yes another has mentioned the Small Boat Club ... an online community of people who enjoy the style. Run by Committee and moderated by majority vote. It is co-incidence that my ID and that of the Club is same. I am only one of the founding group.
