What do you think of these water alarms?

But only a two year nonreplaceable battery life for a device you would hope will never be used in the lifetime of your boat. Can you see yourself making replacing these a regular part of your spring fitting out routine? I'm sure there are similar alarms which could be wired into the boat's power for a more "fit and forget" solution if you did want such a thing.

I doubt there is any such thing as a "non-replaceable battery". You might have to cut the casing open, un-solder the dead battery, solder in a new one and then repair the casing with Sika. or self-amalgamating tape. Nothing beyond the capabilities of any reasonably practical boat-owner.

That's me out then :) at £4 a pop I think I'd just get another one and confirm my place in the throw away society.
