What did you enjoy throwing away?

A rat's nest of T&E, chocolate blocks, inline fuses and corrosion beneath a seat in the cabin. Replacing it was like yoga.

Also the fisherman's anchor in the cockpit locker but that goes without saying.

A plough anchor on a new to me boat. After 30 years with never dragging using a plough this damn thing would never set.

Great feeling hurling the damn thing into a metal skip in the yard.

A heavily corroded element from a heater in the calorifier which tripped the RCD and which was the total pits to remove.

A Stuart Turner.

I had a young lad helping me tidy the boat. He kept asking "what is this for?"
"No idea, chuck it away and we'll soon find out"

My seagull outboard after letting me down so many times and covering me in fuel each time I moved it.

An MD1 engine. The (free) VP2003 that replaced it required serious surgery to the companionway steps to squeeze it in, but it was still going strong when we sold the boat 15 years later. A Snapdragon 24 don't arf go with 28 horses under the bonnet 😁
