What can I make out of wood

Looked at the plans but there is nothing to help with the shape as they turn out to be study plans although it does show cross sections of 3 frames so thats a good start.
It does show a solid dodger which is something else I've contemplated for a long time as hate looking through sprayhood windows.
Spoilt for choice, what to do...
Seems there will be more than enough time to contemplate and eventually build something

Glad the idea of a half model has tickled your fancy. It should keep you occupied for a while and is still boat related. I only wish I could find the time to do one of my Fulmar. They make a great keepsake and can be kept on the boat or at home.

I don't know if you, as me, has 7 yrs of old PBO stacked close to your chair. The practical sections and the sketchbook page is a good place to look.

I have tiller steering and when the weather is nasty I like to sit in the companionway and use the autopilot. So I made a small seat that rest on the frame and upper step. Of course, you don't need mahogany for that. This seat will soon be accompanied by coffee table that hangs from hatch slide bars. From PBO.
Another such project is a small table to snap on the tiller. Not yet sure whether to make it fixed, gambled or adjustable to heel. I have quite long tiller in my boat (very important when you are bad at sail trimming ) and have tried to do eating and sailing with autopilot and ordinary table below the tiller. My autopilot is equipped with some low level AI practical humor so sooner or later it will make an abrupt correction and counter correction, and two of my gets will suddenly be covered in scrimp waste and mayonnaise.

One big improvement on our boat was a cockpit table that clips onto the lazarette lid and rests on the tiller, locking it in place. Another job that's been sitting on the back burner for a while is a shelf for the galley to take our wine glasses Something like this, but modified to keep them in when heeled
