What business coule me and my wife start in a marina to interest boat owners.

Boat cleaning.
polishing motorboats, (but you need to look back through a few posts for info regarding how not to cause damage)
It would need to be a pretty big marina though, to make a viable business.

Arrive and go boat service
Look after boat completely. Owner arrives, boat is clean inside and out, groceries in fridge and larder, all tanks full (or empty) all sleeping stuff clean and laundered. Boat is warm and dry. During the winter boat is regularly checked and problems fixed. Owner has holiday and leaves boat as it is and even where it is and the A&G team get the boat back to home moorings, cleans up the mess and gets the laundry done.
I have yet to find a company that does this and everywhere I've been UK and Med working people have said this is what they want. It's all a matter of price/ cost base.

Any contractor who works in our yard needs permission , submit method statements,have insurances and if a regular has to pay fees so suspect any business has to be a serious money earner if a reasonable profit is to be made.

I've thought of offering a service to make up lines (mooring lines, halliards, sheets etc), but I doubt it would make more than pin money, not a living wage.

There's always one near Pwllheli marina, been there for years so must be doing the biz. Marina one side, industrial estate the other. Ideal! Weekday and weekend customers.

Actually a burger van might be a more sensible idea, and how about delivering to pontoons by phone orders, or even moorings !
Snag is as far as I understand it burger van patches are territories fought over by some serious people, not all of the seriously pleasant type.
Mobile chandlery ? Again would require crossing the marina peoples' palms with silver but might work in some places, depending on the OP's experience & knowledge as to what's required.
