Based on last years usage of spares etc, I had better be asking for the following:-

10 spare propellors
9 cooling hoses
8 rocker switches
6 spare fuses
5 cooling pumps
4 additional gas tanks
3 jabsco toilets
2 spare petrol tanks
...and a significant payrise to fund it all /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Seriously though, have a great Christmas all - especially those who are still on the water...

hhmm, not really asked for anything for the boat this year. Tho the other half bought me a nice shooting jacket, which was bought before recent events but thats another story. I digress, I recieved a "ships bell" from someone who's non boat type person. Very nice it is too. All shiny brass nice plaited rope on the clanger. They're hoping to see it installed soon. Now try explaining to a non boat type person that boats move when on water. My boat moves pretty quickly on water, roughly 30 odd knots. So installing said bell on my boat would be a rather noisy affair.
Now bearing in mind I was 10 parts to the wind while trying to explain the complexities of said bell cling clanging all the time while pounding across the briney and the crestfallen face of the bringer of belly gifts, which is very nice by the way, we've come to a compromise that said bell will be installed above beer storage area at home to "ring time". So with that in mind this is one bell that'll stay mute!
