What boat?

I have been given a day boat as a project and am trying to identify the make to establish what size outboard it requires and its approximate weight. There are no identifying markings - it is around 16 feet long and looks similar to a Seasafe Dandy, but is not a trailer/sailer and does not have bilge keels. Thanks. [image]

Not sure on make, possibly an IP16 hull (Island Plastics circa mid 60's - 70's), superstructure similar to one I had as a project. Will need quite a lot of ballast if you don't want to roll it right over geting off it, they were extremely tender. Engine size 10 - 15 hp max will cope with anything, you'll not get above hull speed anyway but can create interesting wash if you try by overpowering it.

We had an Oyster 16, a 1980s boat similar layout to this with a 15hp Johnson - could not imagine you would want any more than 15hp (we used ours in the Solent)
