What boat would you like to have a play with, helm it, manoeuvre it, not buy, but just have a play or day out on.

My List.

A race boat , just to have a go.

Red Jet, think it looks fun, was on the Bridge for a trip but was not allowed to helm it.

A tug, :D

A hang-gliding dingy

and a tall ship.

An aqua car, thingy.

there are more but that will do for mo.

Like you Julie, I get to play on lots of different boats.
Mainly small, some medium and a few big and it's fun and so I don't have any desires to play on anything in particular apart from, perhaps...

The XSR48 just for the sheer stupidity of the boat. It's fabulous.

Being at the helm of the ferry to Cowes was cool!

For a sportsboat an Absolute 52 and the Marine Technolocy Inc 39RP catamaran used in the Miami Vice film!

For sailing an Extreme 40 Cat and a Wally 80.

All seem just awesome and are on my Long term shopping list...just need a few Mill to buy them...!

I too get to drive some average boats.

Id really like to drive and learn to moor up something 150ft ish just to see how easy or hard it is.

Or maybe a drug runners boat with 5 200hp outboards on the back!

Ive never been on a big jet ski either just an average one, I was talking to a boat owner who had one with a hyabusa engine in, he said it did 80 plus mph when the conditions were right.

No powerboat has a better handling i.e. turning and agility to a Fountain, so it has to be one. Fountain are also very chine free riders even above 100mph, which is also very rare, and they are also very dry riders.
Not the best seakeepers in the class but not bad ones eighter.

and a container ship.

Aha!
I have you there.

My first job on leaving school in 1987 was with the then P&O Containers Ltd.
Navigating Cadet Officer. A month at Warsash on a crash induction course and then chucked in at the deep end.
Osaka Bay & Discovery Bay were my two ships.

It's not all it's cracked up to be and they are remarkably easy to drive! And very boring too!
