What boat would you choose

my uncle dreamed all his live to have a boat.
Now he's retired (67y old) and wants to buy his first boat
usage is daycruising (slowly) and fishing in Spain costa Blanca
with ususally 2 or 3 guests, (maximum 5)

he has zero experience, and can not swim.

his original idea was Areamare, but that is too expensive
He was a couple of times on my boat, and realised he wants a displacement boat (slower)
but I convinced him to go for a planing boat (or at least a semi d)
- bigger range on one day
- faster back to the marina in case of bad weather
so he does not need a big max speed.
he prefers to have a cabin.

I think that this is a very good boat with nice accomodation,
except for him , when mooring, acces to the bow is rather aquate

this one is similar to the apreamare

for his usage I see the shaft drive as an advantage,
no hassle, low maintenance

Mimi is similar to Apreamare have the same Gozzo (fishing boat) Sorrentino lines

you can also look at the following:
Di Donna, Frattelli Aprea semi displacement hull, Parisi, Esposito all are a Gozzo Sorrentino
and Sciallino and Calafuria a Ligurian Gozzo
for value for money and very good seakeeping I suggesto to look at a Calafuria, we have a couple of these in Malta and there sea keeping is one of the best in there size

Looks as though PY has you sorted Bart.....I was thinking about easy deck access, but by the look of them they have walk-a-round decks, which your uncle will no doubt appreciate.

Was planning to make a report from our 4 week Croatia adventure, but I am waiting for the pictures on my computer, still at SWMBO's , and actuatlly very busy with the company, and preparations for the weekend (cruising) ;-)
