... the one owned by "Bill Anderson" in Mamma Mia! (the movie)? I watched the DVD last night and the best part of the film was his yacht... a classic beauty. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yep! here it is. Thanks for that.

.. . given a choice I'd definitely rather go sailing on Tai-Mo-Shan than wasting my time with a hysterical bunch of oldies (Julie Walters notwithstanding) on Skopelos...

There was a very good article on Tai Mo Shan in Classic Boat a wee while back . She was built in HK in the 1930s for a group on RN officers who took a 'holiday' cruise around the Japanese and Aleutian Islands in order to identify possible forward operating bases for submarines in the event of a war in the Pacific. Very Riddle of the Sands! I agree she was the next best thing to Meryl Streep in the movie although the modern aluminium hatches struck a rather discordant note.

yes I noticed them too. But I thought it actually gave the impression of "reality" to the boat: not something just out of a glossy mag: a bit like the shutters falling off Villa Donna, I suppose.
