I've been boating since I was a kid, mostly on inland rivers. I've had quite a few boats from small run-arounds to express cruisers to Dutch steel boats. Now I have a Saver Manta 620, with an Evinrude 150 on it. This is quite close to what I would like, but still not the right one. Here is the criteria:

- cabin boat, good enough to spend a few nights in (preferably hard-top, but I'm ok with canvass too)
- trailerable, under 1600kg dry weight
- 6.5 to 7.5 meters long (21 to 25 feet)
- 4 stroke outboard, not under powered. (would love to have a 140 Suzuki on my next boat)
- pump-out toilet in a separate "room"

The other things that I would like can be added later such as a bow-thruster, electric anchor winch, diesel heating.

I have been looking at Drago 660, Quicksilver 640 Weekend, Merry Fisher etc. I wouldn't mind if the boat itself is older, even early nineties, but I would like the engine to be extremely good on gas and very reliable. Could you guys give me any tips? Much appreciated!

Without a budget to work to its hard to stay but, if you can afford one I’d get one of these. http://www.idealboat.com/660-weekend-436

I had the pilot house version for two years and it was excellent. Very good handling hull and exceptional build quality . Better than the MF695 etc.
Find a second hand one with the 150hp max rated engine and you’ll be laughing !!

For me the weight you are after is an issue. My 18ft bowrider, all be it heavy for the norm, is 1400 kgs dry.
My old 23 ft oal sealine was pushing 2000kgs.
It would need to be pretty lightly built to fit the bill maybe ?

Thanks for the responses so far! Should have mentioned that budget is quite low. Would like to stay under 20K EUR. I could stretch to 22-23K, but that's pushing it. So while the 660 Weekend looks amazing, I'm afraid it's not an option yet. Weight with trailer has to stay under a total of 2200kgs, that's the tow limit of my VW Multivan. So far I'm looking at:

- Quicksilver 640 Weekend
- San Boat 640 Cuddy
- Saver Manta 690
- Drago Fiesta 22
- SeaStar 7000 Cruiser
- Finnsport 650

If you know of any other makes that might fit the search, please let me know!

When you mention the Parker you say it’s not affordable yet, implying that at some point it maybe ??
Why not stick to what you have already for another season and save a bit more money. ?
Then go find what you’d really like to get and try steal a bargain!!

I just sold the Saver 620 two days ago and I have to travel to The Netherlands next week from Hungary. Seem like a perfect time to buy the next boat somewhere in Western Europe and tow it home. :) If I won't find the right one this time, no problem, at least I won't have to worry about winter storage. In the spring I will have a slightly higher budget, but even then it will still be less than 25-27K EUR. The problem is that I want a lot for not a lot of money. Fuel consumption, weight, outboard, proper cabin, proper toilette etc. I do find some candidates sometimes, so there is hope.

The search is over! I ended up with a 2007 Quicksilver 640 Weekend with a 100HP Mercruiser EFI. Put on a lot of hours already, it's a really nice boat. ThaIMG_9249.JPGIMG_9250.JPGIMG_9252.JPGnk you everyone for the tips!
