I believe Bond sails a Spirit Yachts 56 in the new film - made by Spirit Yachts in Suffolk (formerly McMillan Yachts?).

The boat in question is far too large for Bond to trail behind his car in his James Bond trailer however, despite the BHP at his disposal.

Little Knot.

We see them going up and down the Orwell from time to time. The 70 footer was even more impressive, though on the occassion I saw it, the helm appeared to have no idea of the Rules of the Road, and made me take avoiding action when I was on starboard tack and he was on port.

I guess the point I'm making is that the boat was beautiful, but the driver was a complete (arrogant, or incompetent) to££*r, or bounder if you prefer.

I don't know whether it was company staff taking her out on trials, or a the owner, but no one has the right to behave like they own the river in that way.

Spirit 54.

How do I know?

Feature in CB November edition. What was interesting was that as part of the filming contract the boat had to sail to the Caribbean for sea-going shots before heading for Venice. Apparently the Adriatic wasn't blue enough for the film makers.

All for five minutes of screen-time. Nice boat 'though.

Great boats but they could do with a proof reader for the website!
"Whilst primarily a true word girdler with the ability to carry all creature comforts of home, this supremely elegant yacht also has the grace and pace to revel in the great Classic Regattas."
