Teak carvel on teak diagonal with oak frames. Built in 1907. 42ft long with 10ft beam.
There are some numbers and letters on her bow but not complete due to a repair. What we can decipher is as follows XL with a C we think. 633 or 637, 1907, PO or PC.
Richard the owner thinks she was a Captains trot boat and she has rings for holding on davits.
Steam powered originally but subsequently had two Rolls Royce diesels and was doing trips on the river blackwater from Maldon Quay in the sixties.
Been around the Blackwater for the last forty years.
Would really like to trace more history and would be grateful for any information or direction on where more might be available.
