What bags to use carrying stuff to boat

It's probably going to be different if you are a swinger or marina sailor.

I soon found out that carrying food in carrier bags in a tender is not a good idea . Salt water flavoured
chocolate biscuits don't taste right. Also , some food is often lost in the transfer.

So what type bags and carriers works best for you .

Anything with wheels for me please... Edit: i obviously buy too many bottles for most carrier bags. Water and soft drinks obviously, ahem.

One of those flat bottomed, rectangular hessian "green' shopping bags for me. Or a roll top waterproof stuff sac for anything that needs keeping dry. Both my larger stuff sacs have shoulder straps.

Yes we use those they come from Waitrose.

Or, as we call them, Moroccan Bags.

On a day trip to Tangier years ago most Moroccans returning with lots of luggage had them, well supported by metres of string or brown parcel tape.

Coincidentally, just yesterday we visited the rather superior cheapo shop near Abingdon Bridge and bought-for £3.99 each-two far heavier duty ones.

We got two last year and they have held up well so far. Our new club mooring requires a dinghy trip so carrying gear, and keeping it dry, is important.

The other sort always seem to get early zip failure, but they are a throwaway item.
