I'm in the process of negotiating a purchase of a small 9m (Natante) sailboat in Italy - directly with the seller (no agent involved). The seller is very amicable and agreeable person and everything about the boat is pretty obvious to me, so I'm thinking of doing a direct deal - without lawyers, so as to save on purchase costs.

What is the step-by-step process of actually doing the sale/purchase of a sailboat in Italy directly between seller and buyer?

Which papers/forms do we need to sign? What are the names of each of these documents - MYBA MOA, some kind of Bill Of Sale, some kind of application for registration-of-sale etc??? And where can we download them from?

And we still need to go to Notary office, to do the signatures, right?

Many thanks in advance!

Bump.
You can find RYA or MCA bill of sale forms online but no idea what's required in Italy. In UK there's no requirement to involve solicitors, bill of sale and possibly a contract should you think one necessary is all you need...
