I can send you the invoice in an email attachment if necessary. I ordered from the website - I did not download. I do have respect for RNLI volunteers, if not in the manner that they express their views (majority), then in the way they risk their lives for other people without pay. I appreciate your remaining comments too

Uncle Albert, you post contains nearly as many flaws and oversights as the number of lines it uses. Firstly, it would be practically impossible to demote me to 0% feedback – you would need to buy every single one of my items for the next few years in order to do that. Also, and secondly, surely you are not so naïve to realise that I can create new account/s? Or that I already have 2 other accounts and access to an additional three? As well as accounts on all the other top auction sites? (All of which have 100% feedback by the way). Thirdly, you are contradicting yourself when you imply that you could use ‘true’ comments to result in a 0% feedback rating. You would have to lie to give me ‘honest’ negative feedback as I am doing nothing wrong in selling these guides. They are all sold exactly as described in a timely manner. I will not lose the book or my punters but thank you for your comments.

Brendan, that seems very reasonable, I will not be putting too many of them for sale – one at a time at most. I do agree with you that it is slightly morally wrong; you have not been wasting your time telling me this; but no one loses out through me reselling these guides for a profit and my morals are basic to say the least anyway. You could swamp me, I agree, but I would like to see that in action for an extended period of time before I believe it.

Don't care for what hes doing but have a certain respect for his resilience in the handling of the assaults he has been on the receiving end of on here. And as you you say his spotting the opportunity.

Seems a pity to see ability so misdirected. He will surely end in trouble unless someone applies a little guidance and direction.

Paul's no underdog, but I'll stand up for him anyway. Apart from one lapse into forumspeak ("Because I reported them you prat. Also I am currently committing about 7 types of benefit fraud, as is everyone else in Runcorn"), I applaud Paul for:

- his entrepreneurial spirit;

- his determination not to be bullied;

- his willingness to engage in rational discussion;

- his (largely) forthright approach (er, not sure about the invoices, mind, but was there ever a businessman or salesman who hasn't indulged in the odd economy with the truth?);

- the restraint of his language in the face of abuse (e.g. thread title).

As Paul points out, he is not subverting the aims of the RNLI. If anything, he is increasing the distribution of the information that RNLI seeks to bring to the attention of those interested in safety at sea. Moreover, if a person is ignorant enough of the RNLI to pay for something that is freely available through a number of different channels, then it is arguable that they even more in need of the information than the average boater.

I agree with Paul's view that his activity is of questionable morality, but as MagnaCarter suggests, there is an easy remedy for that - make a contribution to the RNLI for every copy sold.

Item numbers ...

When complaint is submitted - all 3 I tried failed with "This item number is incorrect etc."

If you look at some as well - he has already hidden bidders ID's ... Feedback is not there ... etc.

I've given up ... can't spend all time on this ... seems out of all the posts and people ... few may have actually done something ? At least I tried ...

You really do not want the publicity that will come your way. I have come across so many kids like you who think they are clever. You are starting off your life with so low a moral standing that you are headed one way, that of a criminal.

The benefit fraud that you are talking of WILL come back and haunt you.

The inside off a cell is a lonely place son, and your car!!!!! Well like it has been said before, is it worth it?

Or do you hold that as a badge you will wear proudly? Kids like you never cease to amaze me, poncing from a system that is struggling to assist worthy causes, without having paid your dues and contributing to it first?

Sad, very sad. Be a bigger man and break the cycle of this thieving. The buzz you will get from spending money that you have morally earned, will far out way the other.

When you spend money that has been illegally gained, it will only bring bad luck. Maybe not now, but life has a habit of biting back. I, and many of the members on here carry the scars.

Be a better person Paul, it feels better.

Thank you. I am thinking about giving to your charity, although I think it will have to be a percentage of sale price rather than a fixed amount to ensure I am still making a profit. Also I am unsure about how to do it so that RNLI members can see that I am not simply lying. My Dad lives in Anglesea by the way, very nice place.

Right, you are welcome to visit anytime I will give you my address if you want it. My Mum and Dad are law-abiding citizens who kicked me out when I was 17 two weeks before my A-Levels so no they are not proud of me. I am pretty sure that in this whole country there are few people that have chewed on a harder end of life than me - this is not a sympathy request, I am just correcting your premature presumption based on the amount of knowledge you know about me. I do not think I am particularly clever. I have never intended to appear that way. My reason for using big words is to provide as clear response as possible with as little room for ambiguity as possible. Without a car I cannot get a job - it is a downward spiral. Public transport is not remarkable in Cheshire. The fraud will not come back and haunt me unless I get caught (which I have no intention of being). I have been in a cell but I do not feel that life bites you back, I do not believe in fate or guaranteed retribution for any wrong-doing. I also feel fine but appreciate your false concern.

I hate to have to tell you this but since last night this thread has moved on and you’re NOT the star player anymore. You have exploited a loophole that the RNLI has to plug and for that I suppose we should thank you.
To close you down would be a total waste of time as there are plenty of low life petty con artists out there ready to step into your shoes.
EBay to their shame are not interested.
But now the man from the RNLI is on to it and I`m pretty sure that with the resources available to them your days are numbered.
In the meantime the ten proprietary boat magazines, who undoubtedly have the ear of most of the worlds sailerboys have said they will highlight this disagreeable scam. So… a result.
As for you, well you were just the grubby little git that was caught with his hand in the collection box.
