What adhesive tape?

I want to tape some polythene around an area where I will be fibre glassing to contain any spray from the rollers etc. What tape can I use that will be removable when finished after being on for 6-8 weeks?

B&Q sell a masking tape(blue)which is supposed not to oxidise but I never proved it.You could be the first to let us all know?

Any tape you buy should say how long it can be left in place before removal, if it doesn't then assume less than a day.

I normally use electrical tape and plastic sheeting like cling wrap or plastic shopping bags.

If you need a sharp edge, run the tape beyond the line required and trim with a blade to the line needed.

I have used Duck tape, for a similar purpose. It has the advantage that it is wide so will adhere to both the sheet and the under lying surface, also the silver coating will keep out the UV.

with out being rude the problem with duck tape is the adhesive is a pig to remove. i would read the instructions on the B&Q stuff and see how long that can be left on for. another option would be to go to an industrial paint suppliers and see what they suggest.
