Re: What about this ..........

No I would not post a 58 footer, it was a 55 as close to a 54 as I could find.

Your snaps do make it look bigger than a F33 /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif , more the size of my last fairline (corniche 31)

Why does the ohiwishihadabettermemory photographer need a wide angle lens when the fairline one doesnt is it a big spacious boat or not ?
Further unless I am mistaken why does he choose to use a wide angle lens from a helicopter /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Re: What about this ..........

Whats the plot ?
To post photos of really @rap foreign boats so your absolutes look good /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I will be pleased to see some Absolute running shots and how about some interior shots to see how they get around the wide angle distortion of big bums issue /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: daka

Absolute's look good irrespective of anything else /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif they are just simply the fastest, most gorgeous, most economcial and value money yachts in existance /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I mean 40 knts, biggest in class interior, most fuel efficient, design awards to paper the walls with and £150,000.00 less you would, wouldn't you.......... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thats better /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

No more fat slappers thanks /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I wasnt trying to suggest you were part of the plot, it was only meant in light humour, I had been very disappointed at the Trawler Yacht I went on, very narrow and poor use of space due to wide side decks.

When I saw the photos I thought there was loads of space, on closer inspection I noticed the distortion and was annoyed, if they wanted to make a wider boat why didnt they ?
To make a narrow boat and then stretch the photo is rather silly.

That must be it. The TV in the centre of the screen looks OK to me.

These two lines should be the same length if your screen is not distorting.

Yes thanks for going to the trouble.
Looks the same and both measures 76 mm.

The step lights look oval.
The ceiling lights look tear drop shape/ovals.

The flybridge boat in the background looks fat.
All the crew look 'healthy'.

It must just be me.

Re: daka

Nice pic Nautical. That's Pointe de la Galere in the background, right? The headland South of La Napoule

On this narrow saloon/wide side decks thing that you get with Trawlers, there is always Nordhavn who offer a compromise in the form of a side deck on just one side (and sometimes with a bit of a list!)

Re: daka

Indeed it is, just after that shoot we had a play about with the other three ABS and the poor model on the sun pad got a little wetter than expected /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif ......."pratt stupido" is I think what she screamed /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I thought when the snapper was taking those pics they would fill the screen and half the boat would be cut off cus he was so close you could almost touch the blades on the copter. Guess its that wide angle thing again /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: daka

Yep, that is cracking looking boat. No mistake. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Sorry to be a stickler, but can you see where your going if sitting on a crew seat on this one?

Cheap price but at first sight, it looks it. Terribly slab sided exterior and basic finish inside. Flybridge layout is awful and no internal steps. Saloon looks like a railway carriage and loony master cabin layout. Not for me. I'd take one of THESE instead for similar money

each to his own, personally I think the Belliure looks fuddy duddy like a million before it ala those old Alaskan things, not much imagination gone in there and I think I am right in saying its more expensive and the cabins are small for near 50'. There are several layouts on the M530 and from the chat I had they were happy enough to jig things to suit you. I'll admit the pictures don't do it much justice, but gathering from the Q's to get on it its hit the right note with many and it really is bloomin big inside.

Can't you even see a little of the modern influance on an old theme, bit of edge design mated to minimialist, er sort of /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Nice one, looks like they're beginning to listen to feedback! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Beautiful looking boat and better to my mind than the 4 engined jobby, which would be 'absolutely' hopeless for UK waters.

I agree. I think they have got it right with the "slab sidedness" on the M530. Looks quite modern with a hint of retro, and clever flush glazing. I like the Belliere but it is somewhat unimaginative on the design front. But all imho, each to their own etc, and Deleted User and I would also disagree violently on the beauty of the e60 BMW 5 series and Chris Bangle's work generally!

Re: daka

Nice pic, but one small complaint: the foredeck cushons should to be fully recessed into a sunken "tray" moulded into the GRP. Those Absolute ones will rip off as soon as you get any green water over the bow. See the now-long-in-tooth Sq58 for how to do it properly: cushions recessed, and front edge of cushions held in by "caravan awning" track not press studs. Still, feel free to carry on posting nice pictures like that :-)

Hi Jimi,

Have you been binge drinking early? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I thought I was pissed but it's 10pm here!

Anyway, enjoyable post, though I didn't quite get it.

/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Far from shot down, I simply backed off in the interests of a happy forum /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I did load the Wide photo into MS'picture' and easily rectified it with out distortion around centre or parameters.

I decided not to post as it didnt really add to the thread apart from to prove my point.

I am mystified why a Builder would produce a boat that was so ugly they needed to distort the brochure snaps, especially as I doubt anyone would buy one unseen.
