How about a rally from Madeira to Canaries to the Cape Verde then back to the Azores,a summer excursion ?

Sorry there doesn't seem to be much interest.
You remind me of Ian Wright's posting here back in May 2004: "During a pub lunch the other day one of three Vertue yacht owners said 'I wouldn't mind sailing to the Azores and back before I'm too old for it'. So ... anyone else like to come? Spring 2005. No entry fee. No organisation. All boats under the Skipper's responsibility only".
Ian Wright owned a 25' Vertue "Patience", and was a regular here. Five other forum skippers signed up. However, he knew he was terminally ill and he intended it as his last fling. His final post here was Still going to the Azores? but he died shortly after. In the event I was the only skipper to set off.

I am afraid for medical reasons there will be no yachting for me till at least mid summer,Unfortunatly
