What about a two handed race from Vigo round the Azores and back ?

Or lunch in Vigo, followed by a cruise to a Ria anchorage where one has a peaceful night reading about someone else's derring do and fearful storms in the Atlantic. A cruise back to Vigo in a day or so, possibly stopping in town for another lunch.
Mine was a serious post🙁……last year the French organized a race fro Vigo to somewhere in France and apparently they are going to repeat this summer ….the a fígaro. Or some such kerfuffle…..but Vig to the azoes whole give great reaching winds…….I would obviously be on the start line in mt Dufour 24😏

That post about lunch stops and peaceful nights at anchor sounds a wonderful way to enjoy a small but perfectly formed sailboat. With a few hours sailing in between of course

Years ago now must be the 1990s somebody organized a sail in company around the Ria de Vigo and up north maybe as far as Finisterre. The idea was to encourage new people to yachting to get off their marinaberths and explore the rias under guidance from other more experienced sailers, itseemed to be very popular inthe harbours visited and amongst the newly qualified Galician sailors.
