What a weekend

just returned from a fantastic weekend on the thames. We are new this year to boating. Got from bray to hurley enjoyed the simplicity of the whole experience. Got my boy cathing fish, daughter cooking (sorry about the stereotype, but does this make me bad) and generally loved the whole thing. Lock keepers, top blokes, wildlife, top drawer, other boaters, bloody nice people, why did i go back to work this afternoon?

Ah the Thames, that's why we moved back there from the God awful Trent. I recall Hurley from some of our earliest days on the Thames, peaceful setting, a short walk over the wooden bridge to the pub and great fishing in those backwaters.
