Took the boat over to the Solent for four days with some friends. Had a superb time. Winds were perfect, the sun shone, beer was drunk. My first break since Christmas, so I really needed this.

Lucky you - although the weather was also superb north of the border I was stuck with grasscutting and decorating!!

Pleased you had a good time, sailing can be very frustrating at times in that the wind is usually the wrong strength and direction but every now and again it all comes good together. I had such a sail a couple of years ago, cross the Bay of Biscay can you believe. Three and a half days of force 4-5, beam reaching all the way and very little swell. Felt as though I earned my stripes by default.

Hope you have many more days of fair wind sailing.

Cracking weather here on the Clyde, nice breeze and loads of blue sky/sun...shame I was at work, finish after Monday so hopefully a couple of days sail around Arran as forecast looks good till Thursday...the beauty of sailing upo here mid week is I may not see another boat during 2 days...can't say I would enjoy your Solent sailing now adays!!
