What a Pillock

I reckon the marks on the Garmin chart are largely a figment of someones imagination or have been taken from prehistoric charts.

The marks on Thornham's picture are probably correct. The bottom two are Conservancy marks AFAIK and two of the others were put there many years ago by users of Paynes yard. One of them, Pilcher, is barely above water at springs and gets run down regularly. The marks for the entrance to Paynes yard itself are not shown but the main two are probably the most prominent of the lot. You see a confusing forest of apparently randomly placed red and green posts in front of you as you cross the bay!

You would not want to inspect your antifouling up there either.

[/ QUOTE ] Their is also a substantial amount of live ammunition at the bottom of Thorney Channel too, mostly .30 and .50 but some also bigger stuff, oh and a mates fishing rod /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
