What a perfect day (with vid)

A is keen to get a drone soon, probably similar to Scubaman's, so he will no doubt be quizzing you for any info/feedback on this particular species.
Glad to answer as much as I can, but aside from having seen (and very briefly tried) the thing when scubaman was in CF, I have no other first hand experience.

Otoh, A has better chances to get valuable views if he asks here in the asylum.
By now, I'm sure that not only scubaman but also jfm and hurricane know the thing in detail - and I'm probably forgetting others...

Fabulous movie scubaman! For the rest of us, that's something to aim for. I loved the reflected clouds. I didn't see any horizon problem btw.

Thank you! Not a huge problem but the image does seem to be tilted slightly to the right.

Have you had a change to fly the P4 yet?

Ah ok. It was very slight. There is a setting to adjust this on your iPad screen, under the camera menu. you can adjust the horizon "straightness" before take off or even mid flight. It is worth learning the method because for some reason it can "lose" its setting when sorted. I mean, the horizon can be straight for one session then when you fire it up again a week later the horizon is angled

I've flown the p4 once in the garden but have not had time to shoot any boat movies yet. Next couple of weeks I guess. (I just fitted a load of new Lumishore RGBW underwater lights in the shipyard last week, new Lumishore THX1602, 12 off, so want to photograph those from the air). Initial impression is that p4is very nice, Same as p3 but added features. Also it packs away into a much smaller case because the props click on and off, and the case is in the drone's standard equipment package. I tried the "follow me" function in the garden and it worked well. You just choose a target on the ipad screen by dragging, and it follows that target - I chose myself and then walked around the garden and it seemed to work ell. I'd like to see how it follows a boat - should be good because you'd expect the optics and software can surely see a white blob against a blue sea. Camera is 4k

Hey K. what a great video, thanks a lot for posting! I get never tired to repeat myself all the time but: you have a stunning cruising ground.

The other with MapisM is also just unbelievable. Big thanks for sharing such moments with all forumites. I know myself how much time it takes to write a cruise report, I believe that editing a video is even more time consuming!
