Something about it....

Deck the boat with balls of plastic,
So it looks just quite fantastic.
There's no danger in that position,
So it must be fear of collision.

Out with fenders,
Ropes and hitches
Big and tender;
They're not titchies.

Just amusing, there is no way any sucker is going to scratch that boat....

...mind you he could still bend the pulpit!!

Any dents in yours yet?

I don't know why people hang their balls that far forward, they must be really bad at steering, as for the vee shaped thing unless you hit something at exactly that height what is the point:D

Every other boat in the picture is also sporting plenty of fenders. It is after all a marina where close quarters knocks are bound to happen from time to time.

(From an owners whos boat has plenty of fenders down the non pontoon side as her neighbours cant handle the boat for love nor money!!)

And Harleyford is a place where they spend a lot of time worried about other people's boats. A substitute for taking their own boat out perhaps......

Ah but that fairline type next door looks a bit dodgy. Maybe he's scared of it, bit like parking a new car away from the old ratters.

I had a four winns as a neighbour once. Parked stern to, new owner and family came aboard, started it up and proceeded to drive it out like a car.

Stopping a stern powered by 5ltrs of OMC from swinging across into your boat fair makes yer muscles crack I can tell yer.

Have fenders on both sides now.
